Vermont's regular season closed-out Saturday. While no playoff spot was on the line, Vermont's oldest high school football rivalry was renewed.
Lyndon (2-7) beat
St. Johnsbury (3-6) 14-0 in the 105th game between the two. St. Johnsbury still leads the series 58-41-6.

Essex captured Vermont's Division 1 championship with a 48-14 victory over Rutland. The Burlington Free Press reports that Essex was led by quarterback Max Librizzi, who completed all but five of his 29 passes for 386 yards and three scores.
